Longreach wireless can normally be set up within a day or two. Following your registration for the wireless service we'll contact you in order to organise a date and time to perform the installation.
Our installers will first determine that you are able to receive the service. Once this has been confirmed, a Longreach wireless receiver (pictured left) will be mounted on your home or premises. A data port will also be installed inside your home. Our installers will set your computer up to connect to the wireless service and ensure that you are receiving the best possible connection.
The installation and setup process normally takes around 2 hours.
The wireless receiver remains the property of NetSpeed and must be returned if you choose to cancel the Longreach wireless service.

(*2) If your installation location is within the current Longreach wireless Internet coverage areas and an installation is attempted, but it is determined that you are unable to receive the Longreach wireless Internet service at a minimum speed of 1.5Mbs (at the time of installation), no installation fee will be incurred and any monies paid by you to NetSpeed in relation to the Longreach wireless Internet setup will be refunded.
Cancellation of your Longreach wireless Internet service may incur a cancellation fee, as follows:
- If you are on a 12-month or 24-month contract, a cancellation fee of $500.00 will be incurred, or you will be required to pay for the remainder of your Longreach contract, whichever is the lesser amount;
- If you are not under contract there is no fee for cancelling your Longreach service.
Upon cancellation, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange for the removal of all Longreach equipment from their home or premise and return it to NetSpeed at their expense. NetSpeed can arrange this for a nominal fee.
Longreach accounts cannot be placed 'on-hold'. Longreach accounts which are on a 12-month or 24-month contract cannot be downgraded to a lesser connection plan during the contract period. |
