There are many types of wetlands including :  ponds, swamps, creeks, rivers, waterfalls, lagoons coastal rockpools, billabongs, mudflats, marshes, streams, lakes (fresh and salt), estuaries, bogs, mangorves,wet heaths, fens, peatland floodplains, river flats,  saltmeadows and dams.
