THE KANGAROO

APPEARANCE:
Kangaroos can be red, brown or grey. They are covered with fur. Kangaroos have two legs and two paws. The kangaroo has a very strong tail and very big ears.

HABITAT:
Kangaroos live in the bush, rainforest or the zoo.

FOOD:
A baby joey sucks milk from the mother’s teat inside the pouch. All kangaroos eat grass.

MOVEMENT:
Kangaroos jump using their strong back legs and tail. They are very fast jumpers.

WAYS IT PROTECTS ITSELF:
The kangaroo is a very fast hopper so it can get away from predators. It can also hit other animals with its tail and its strong claws.

REPRODUCTION:
