                                       By Daniel
Description

The Pademelon is brownish grey and looks like a kangaroo. The male is 95 centimetres long, the female is about 77 centimetres long. Its neck and shoulders are reddish brown. Its hands are shaped so it can hold its food.

Food

It eats grass and low shrubs.

Habitat

It lives in thick rainforest  and eucalypt forest near grasslands, in Queensland and NSW.

Threats to Survival

Wild dogs and foxes sometimes attack Pademelons.

Behaviour

As it  hops along it holds its  tail straight. Each night  it travels the same way to its feeding grounds. When frightened it makes noises and thumps the ground. To warm itself in the morning it finds a sunny spot.
