Threats
to Survival
When rainforests are cleared, there is a chance of some animals disappearing. Rainforests can be ruined even if only a few trees are cut down, because this lets in the wind and light. |
| Behaviour
Its black colour helps it to hide in the forest shadows. The Brush Turkey builds a nesting mound of leaves and twigs about three metres across and lays about twenty eggs in it. The heat from the rotting vegetation hatches the eggs. |
