Guiness Book of Records 1998Book Reviews
I think it's good to see records broken in the different years. My favourite is 1998 where it has two huge sized foods believe it or not! Do you know it even has a telescope where if you were in Sydney wou could see car headlights on Asia? What a distance.

Cruel Kings and Mean Queens by Terry Deary is a book about old kings and queens. It shows you why they became queen or king, why they died and how they were buried. I like it because it makes history more interesting and it is funny too. I recommend it and give it 10 out of 10 except for the gory things.

Harry
Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling.
Harry
thinks that he is an ordinary boy but after he gets rescued by an owl and
goes to a wizard school he sees how powerful magic is. He becomes the greatest
wizard of them all. The funniest part of the story is when Dudley gets
his new school uniform and Harry almost burst with laughter and his mum
and dad were crying at how bad the uniform looked on him.

Horrible Histories
Horrible Histories are my favourite series of books. Teary Deary creates history in a book kids ACTUALLY WANT TO READ. Ask your history teacher, They`ll tell you that's a change. I have read so many that I can`t remember them all but some I have read recently are, The Frightful First World War, The Woeful Second World War and Cruel Kings and Mean Queens. The two world war books give you a basic idea about what they were about, who won, who lost. There are stories of heroism, courage and mean Germans. The last book gives you an idea about kings and queens from 1066-2000 sparing you no gruesome details. Oh yes I forgot to mention there is at least one funny joke on every page. There are so many kings and queens that this book had to be a special. No difference, except fo the fact that this book is 200 pages long. I like Horrible Histories because I like history and these books are just so very funny.
