A Kangaroo is a mammal. It is covered in fur. It hasw large, powerful hind legs for travel by jumping. Small front paws assist with preening and eating. Its long large tail helps it to balance when it is standing up.
It mostly eats grass. Dingoes and foxes like to eat kangaroos. Its meat is used ofr pet food and people also eat kangaroo now.
The mother kangaroos have babies. The babies come out really tiny with no fur. It stays on its mother's teat for many weeks until it is ready to leave the pouch for short periods of time. The mother kangaroo looks after the baby joey.
Kangaroos live in most parts of Australia. The kangaroo fights by attacking its opponent with its front paws.
