The Desert Goby is a small fish that only grows to 60mm long. To see what it looks like, you can see the picture that I found on the internet and saved.
It eats mainly newly hatched brine shrimp, but they are really omnivores - they eat ANYTHING!!! Unfortunately, Pelicans eat the Goby (see my diorama).
The female Goby fish lays 50 - 250 eggs on the ceiling of a cave - I'm not sure how they get up there. The male looks after the eggs until they hatch. After hatching, the baby fry don't need their parents to help them.
The Goby only lives for a year in springs, waterholes, creeks and flowing bore holes and drains.
