Danelaw's site, "Dunghaven", near Moreton National Park, NSW. The
site offers good camping areas, pit and composting toilets and a long fire pit
for socialising. Here are directions to get to the site both 
from
Canberra, and from
Sydney.
WHEN
October long weekend (4th to the 6th of October). Site open for arrivals on
Friday night and we all leave Monday afternoon.
FOOD
The event will be fully catered with a feast on Saturday and Sunday night. Breakfast
and lunch will be provided all 3 days. The provisional menu is here.
(If prearranged, a stew can be provided for those arriving before 8pm on Friday).
If you have any dietary restrictions please tell us well in advance (see booking
form).
PRICE
All three days is $50 if booked and paid by 19th September. If pre booked but
not paid by the 2nd of October the price is $60. If paid on the day the price
is $75. Children under 16 are half price, under 10 are free. Two days and one
feast is $35 if booked and paid by 20th Sept. Prices for single day etc., please
contact us.
FIGHTING
The site offers very varied terrain including forest, open field and a narrow
creek crossing. We will be using AAF standard rules except most fights will
be no lower limbs. Javelins are permitted as well. There may be a short tourney
if people are interested. Mininum age for combat is 18 or 16 as long as written
permission from parent or guardian provided.
ACTIVITIES
Over the weekend we will be running various workshops and competitions. If you
want to run a workshop at Beorg-wic, contact us and you may get a discount.
Details of the workshops will be on our website at a later date. There will
be a best outfit competition, which can be fighting or feasting kit. At the
feast we will have a riddle competition and a best entertainment competition.
The Third annual Nine Men's Morris championships will also be running with several
prizes. Also we will have an area set up with game boards all weekend. There
will be a market on the Sunday morning so can people inform us if they would
like to sell stuff at the market.
OTHER INFORMATION
There is no water on site so please BYO and take your garbage home. Nearest
shops are a long drive, so BYO drinks too. Please build a fireplace for your
fire (there are lots of rocks) and don't litter cigarette butts.
