Hélène and I have been living in Australia since October 1996. I joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) under an Australian lateral recruitment program and the RAAF moved us downunder to Canberra. Since then, Hélène and I have both taken Australian citizenship.
I am a Flight Lieutenant (FLTLT) and I work in the Air Defence Ground Environment (ADGE) Project Office which is part of the Defence Acquisition Organisation (DAO). I work as a Systems Engineer on Project Air 5333; the replacement and upgrade of Command and Control capability for the air weapons control centres at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW and RAAF Base Tindal, NT.
Hélène is employed as a federal public servant and works in Australia's Parliament House supporting the politicians' information-systems needs. She is responsible for a variety of things such as simple over-the-phone computer support or training parliamentary personnel on a variety of software packages. She recently began programming in Microsoft Access and has helped people in the Parliament House to create simple Access programs.
We originated from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where I served as a member of Canada's Air Force for 12 years. Hélène worked with Corel and EDS and her experience has paid off as her attempts to find employment have never failed.
The purpose of this web site is to provide friends and family with information about our lives here in Australia. Contained in the various pages are photographs of places we have been, friends and family, as well as some pictures we have taken of Australian places. We have only been to a few places so far and have a lot more to see and do. As we get around, we'll change this web site and post new pictures.
