CORRECTED VALUES OF PRIMARY CONTACTS FOR ECLIPSE OF 1997 September 16-17

The improved lunar eclipse ephemeris (ILEE) gives the following primary contact corrected universal times (in Hours.Minutes Seconds) when using an umbral oblateness value of 1/102 determined by many observations. The difference from the Astronomical Almanac times are given as DELTA T in seconds.

Time for 1 C: 17.0812, DELTA T (SEC): 8.68 LATER

Time for 2 C: 18.1606, DELTA T (SEC): 46.41 LATER

Time for 3 C: 19.1747, DELTA T (SEC): 14.66 EARLIER

Time for 4 C: 20.2513, DELTA T (SEC): 4.32 EARLIER
