Getting Started

Use
Download and install
ScopeDriver as a full functional version (for $ 39.92 AU) from http://www.aquiladigital.us/ScopeDriver/index.html

The main screen is shown below:

The Main Window represents a connection with your telescope. The most vital telescope information appears in this window. There’s a keyboard equivalent for nearly every control in ScopeDriver’s windows. The above graphic depicts the Main Window when ScopeDriver is connected to an Autostar, LX200 GPS, or compatible telescope.

input your requirements into the ScopeDriver preferences screen.

The Application Preferences tab of the Preferences Window
allows customization of many ScopeDriver features.

The Site and Time window needs to be set for your observing site(s) as shown:

The Site and Time Window displays your telescope’s location and time information, and lets you specify an unlimited number of custom observing sites. Synchronize your telescope’s clock to your computer with a single click, and access multiple built-in sites on telescopes that support this.

Observing
I suggest you commence seeking objects visible from your site by experimenting with the many options available. I find the update features and the screen options very helpful to find new objects such as comets and asteroids.
