Measurement of
penumbra
Hello all,
A sequence of images, captured with a Nikon D70 at prime focus with a
Orion ED80 refractor.

These images were taken in
Istanbul with a Nikon D 70 high definition camera and show the
subtle penumbra which has been measured at 1.31 and 1.314 degrees using
Digimizer. The Moon was calibrated at 0.2787 degrees semi-diameter. In
addition, measures of all other images gave the following result
for the umbra.
The yellow grey scale wand was set at 2 pixels wide and a mean position was chosen for the second penumbra measurement.
