The 1.6 Mb animation below
was generated from a series of 63 images taken with my Panasonic
Digital Video camera mounted on my Meade alt-az telescope. Each image
was exposed at 1/1000 sec at f/8 with a magnification limited to only
33 times. The tracking could have been better as the images did move
around quite a bit - I have improved this here.
Several images were filtered to show the threshold level of the umbra near fourth contact, this appeared to occur around 93 seconds earlier than predicted, this is in agreement with that computed by my "Improved Lunar Eclipse Ephemeris" (or ILEE).
