A cross-fade: the weak point of Compressor shows the artifacts of compression blocking introduced during cross-fades. While Compressor handle fades to/from black very well, there are several frames that show blocking during this cross-fade.
The purple tinge to the left of frame is the new scene becoming visible, the transition also incorporates a blur during the fade, hence the softening.
CCE far superior, beautifully smooth transitions, certainly what you would expect for the price.
Note I played through the video files to allow for an anomaly in Compressor - there were blocks to varying degree through-out the transition.
