CCE on top, followed by CP VBR Best middle, CP 2p VBR and finally orig PAL DV at bottom.
The blocking effect or shimmering artefacts are what I’m searching for here, typically on dark, uniform areas like a black suit or shadowy wall behind a subject. Typically starts to pixelise and show the weakness of 8-bit colour space.
There’s not a lot in it, bit more detail in CCE, but a cleaner looking image from CP2 2p VBR. The shape at the middle of the jacket is a child’s leg and shoe, also in black, it is easier to discern in the CCE encode.
CCE does show some colour artefacts by the sleeve RHS...but again we’re looking 2x magnified - sit 1-2m away from your screen to get a better idea of what works better for video.
