NZCH. Edenmist Cilla Black

Sire: ANZ.CH Edenmist Tri in My Image           Dam: AUST.CH Shelma Black Lace

What can one say about Onyx, her nature is wonderful if it didn't say in the standard that Shelties are supposed to be reserved whith strangers. She loves everyone. You could say she is over the top, with wanting affection. Most of my sheltie aren't keen on vets: she would jump all over them.

This was a bit of a problem when being shown as a puppy, as she didn't seem to understand that in the show ring she should behave. Instead she would move all around the place, look everywhere but in the right direction most of the time. She did manage two challenges, and a group, but I felt she would have done better if it wasn't for her behaviour. She is a lovely bitch, with a lovely coat and markings to go with it.

She changed hands from her owner Lyn Simonson as Lyn had a baby and wasn't able to give Onyx as much time as she would like to. After a litter bred by us Onyx was sold to Barbara Hodson. Once coated after that Barbara showed her to her title in a very short time, winning a B.I.G as well. She is starting to settle down now and we hope she will carry on her winning ways in the future.
