Sire: AUST.CH Jentam Sonsuki Tequila           Dam: AUST.CH Lubrabend Lady Kathryn
While on holiday in Melbourne we were taken to see Lubrabend Kennel. It was there that we first saw Kelly. She really took the eye right off, a bitch I would love to own. Little did we know that in the not too distant future would be offered her on lease.
Kelly and Shannon were kennel mates, that, you could see right off. The two of them stayed pretty close when they arrived. It didn't take long for her to feel at home, and once coated up the campaign was on to get her NZ title. She was of correct size, with a very appealing expression and ears right on top of her head. She carried the most beatiful draping and length underneath, and when in full coat looked a picture.
When I showed her, being such an alert dog, she would be constantly using her ears. So alert, that at times, something else would catch her eye right at the wrong time. You would then be in a panic to get her attention back for the judge to get another look.
We mated her while still needing points, but she came back into the ring and carried on her winning ways. Her top wins were, res In Show (All Breeds), B.I.S Central Shetland Sheepdog Champ Show, Res In Show, South Island Shetland Sheepdog Champ Show, B.O.B Tux National Dog Show, these are the ones I remember. The mating to Nigma Nikoli produced ANZ CH. Edenmist Rush N Roulette. The mating to her half brother Shannon produced Edenmist Show Rose, who, although she didn't gain her title certainly produced on for us through her daughter Aust CH. Shelma Black Lace. Kelly had a big influence on Edenmist and I will be forever grateful to Joy McGookin for letting us buy her.
