JDCC General Meetings

The Club meets at 8:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at the Eastlake Football Club, 3 Oxley Street, Griffith, A.C.T.

During the meeting members are encouraged to peruse a selection of reference resources from the library brought by the club Librarian. Club meetings usually finish between 9.30 and 10.00 PM after which members are invited to join their Committee and colleagues for coffee/tea and the usual wide ranging chat about "things Jaguar".

National SS & Jaguar Pushrod Gathering, Wagga Wagga, Fri-Mon, September 17-20, 2010

The 2010 gathering is by all accounts a well subscribed affair, with the organisers advising that numbers exceed expectation, so much so that the Saturday night dinner function was booked out some time ago.

However there are many other activities and these include: • Friday evening drinks and chatter – places available. • Saturday morning display 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at Bolton Park • Saturday run after display to Wagga Winery for lunch (cars lined up for general display) • Sunday run to the nearby historic town of Junee

As Wagga is a bit over a 3 hour run, attendance at the Saturday display would mean an early departure for those wishing to travel down on the Saturday morning - tentatively 7:15 am from the Dinosaur Museum. Alternatively, some may prefer to travel down Friday. For those doing so, the organiser contact for Friday evening drinks is Ross Rasmus (08) 8356 7041.

The club has made a tentative booking for five double rooms on the Saturday night at the City Park Motel at $100 per room. Anyone wishing to travel down on the Friday should contact the hotel direct (02) 6921 4301 (contact Elaine) and arrange a Friday night booking. Can members please advise at the September General Meeting their interest in attendance so details can be firmed up based on numbers.

Run to Bundanoon and Fitzroy Falls, Saturday, October 23, 2010

Bundanoon is a Southern Highlands village that retains its old world charm and connection with the natural beauty of Morton National Park. Popular since the 1920s as a tourist destination, the village has fine old guesthouses, an excellent health retreat, cafés and antique dealers. More details will be provided at the October club meeting and in the October issue of The Cat’s Whiskers.
