Note:

The notation (ps) after certain events stands for 'point score' and if you are a JDCC Member you will receive points towards your annual participation tally if you, a) attend the event, and, b) receive additional points if you drive a Jaguar to the same event.


JDCC General Meetings

The Club meets at 8:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at the Eastlake Football Club, 3 Oxley Street, Griffith, A.C.T.

During the meeting members are encouraged to peruse a selection of reference resources from the library brought by the club Librarian. Club meetings usually finish between 9.30 and 10.00 PM after which members are invited to join their Committee and colleagues for coffee/tea and the usual wide ranging chat about "things Jaguar".

Winery Run, Lake George and surrounds, Saturday, September 10, 2011

Spring has arrived, and what a better way to mark the season of renewal than motoring to one of the region's best wineries.

Concept: 10:20 am for a 10:30 departure; meet at the BP Service Station, on the large roundabout at corner Northbourne Ave and Antill Street, Watson.

10:30 to 12:00 - Grand motoring tour (clockwise) to:

  • Gunning, Gundaroo, Collector (via Sutton Rd and Old Hume Hwy).
  • Possibly checkout a Wind Farm en-route
  • Federal Hwy to Lake George
12:00 Lunch at Lake George Winery

Return at own time and pace via Federal Hwy. Distance approx 155km = 2 hrs driving

Cost: If sufficient numbers (more than 10) then a set menu will be arranged - est $30 pp Else a-la-carte at own cost refer the menu section of the Lake George Winery website.

Kiama Vintage Classic Car and Bike Rally, Sunday, September 25, 2011

The inaugural Kiama Vintage and Classic Rally for Charity is a not-for-profit local event managed by local people in aid of local charities. Shannons are a sponsor. The event is open to vintage, classic or unique vehicles built prior to 1975. It will commence with a one and a half hour drive from Wollongong Uni to Kiama taking in the magnificent scenery of the Illawarra, ending up beachside at the beautiful Kiama Showground. Part of the drive will be an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Parade of Classic Cars!

Marques in the Park, John Knight Park, Sunday, November 13, 2011

Marques in the Park has grown from 200 cars in 2003 to over 800 in 2010, this year we are hoping to get over 1000 vehicles on display,

The display at John Knight Park will begin at 10.00 am and go until 3.00 pm

  • John Knight Park is on Aikman Drive Belconnen, A.C.T.
  • Entrance to the park is via Lake Ginninderra College car park.
  • Entry to Marques in the Park is FREE for participants and spectators.
  • Shaded areas and open grassed areas, for parking and relaxing.
  • Espresso coffee and Food stall selling hot food and cold drinks.
  • Trade stalls selling goods and services for motoring enthusiasts.
  • Display area close to shopping mall and fast food outlets.
  • Vehicle access and movement is allowable all day, with a 5 KPH speed limit.
  • Club BBQ’s permitted in the Park.

Temora Flying Weekend, Saturday to Sunday, November 19-20, 2011

The will be the first weekend having ALL aircraft flying in over 18 months. Members may make this either a day trip or overnight as preferred. Accommodation availability is always in high demand for these weekends. Further details closer to the event, or refer to the Temora Aviation Museum website for links to accommodation, and members wishing to make a weekend of it are advised to book early.
