Also, come along to the 30km Federation Bike Ride in Canberra Streets on Wednesday May 9. From Parliament House at 11.30am.

So MANY ways to CELEBRATE! See attached info or visit us at http://www.federationbikeride.org/

The FIT bunch from Kosi will be leaving Michelago about 9am on Tuesday the 8th, to reach Queanbeyan by 12 o'clock for the Mayoral reception at the Council chambers in Crawford Street.

We will also be joined by others from Michelago, Williamsdale, Hume turnoff, and later also, from Queanbeyan. There will be the Member for Eden-Monaro at the reception, Garry Nairn, as well as the Mayor, and some councillors, and also someone representing Raine and Horne. So a few short speeches will be happening, to go with our light lunch (warm finger food, and drinks of OJ, coffee/tea).

We will leave Queanbeyan by 1 pm, with some "Police Presence" (not officially an "escort", to the ACT border, and then on to Civic Square for the next reception at 2pm. Then to Old Parly House at 3pm...

The main group are leaving Yass for Canberra on Tuesday 8 May at 9.00am.

Karen and others are planning to ride out to Yass on Tuesday morning leaving at 6.30 from Belconnen, meeting the riders in Yass and returning with them. This would be about a 120km round trip (if we ride from Belconnen, Yass, Civic then back to Belconnen). Of course there is the option of riding out to Yass on the Monday (or perhaps even getting a lift there by a kind friend), camping with everyone and riding back. You might even be able to get a lift to Yass on the Tuesday morning (any volunteers).

There is also another option of riding to Murrumbateman, having a nice rest there while you wait for the Riders to pass through (at around 10.00ish) and then joining them for the last leg into Canberra.

If anyone is interested in joining them all of the way, part of the way or meeting us along the way, please contact Karen on 0414 846806, 6244 3037 w or 6258 7387 h.
