About this site

Research methodology

The development of family trees for each of my 16 great great grand parents (GGP) is underway and will be progressively added to the site as they are completed.

Records are largely based on existing family material, plus publicly available records from other researchers, the LDS and Free BMD, and BMD and other archival records produced by Australian State governments. Where possible each record includes the registration number of each birth, death and marriage event so as to make clear which person ids being referred to. Some information is provided on the name of the ship emigrants were on,  places of residence (for deceased only), and occupation.

Records of living relatives have been limited for privacy reasons. This is done using the privacy function on the Family Tree Maker program.

I also have a Privacy Policy

Apart from those on the home page no photographs are available at the site at present.

Website

I designed this website, so if it doesnt work, or the links are down, or you have suggestions for its improvement let me know. Contact me at: Dryandra1@netspeed.com.au

The trees utilise the genealogical software program GenoPro (version 191.b) available at http://GenoPro.com.  They are also stored on Family Tree Maker (version 10). The trees are converted to GEDCOM files using GenoPro, and then to html files using another software program called Gedpage (version 2.21) available at Gedpage - GEDCOM to HTML Genealogy Webpage Builder. The web pages and files have been uploaded using the share ware Cute FTP (version 4.2.5) produced by GlobalSCAPE and available at http://www.globalscape.com

The home page and associated pages were constructed using Microsoft FrontPage (version 2002)

The Family Tree was constructed with Adobe Reader 6.0

The browser used is Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6.0).

Future Plans

The future priority is to complete the family histories on my 16 GG Grandparents before moving progressively onto 32 GGG Grandparents and 64 GGGG Grandparents. Current priorities include doing more research on the Addis, Jackson and May families.

A suite of photographs will be added at a later stage.

At a future stage summaries of each family will also be developed and included on this site.

When I get a bit smarter I will add a small search engine facility, and possibly a guest book too.
