Shootout laid rest any claims that the Viper was the new 'King of the Hill'.
The mighty Vette brigade winning all three classes
(Normally aspirated:
Jim Formato 10.720; Nitrous assisted: Dale
Ashley 10.818; Supercharged:
Rich Mendez 12.900) to show that the
Corvette is still number one. The quickest Viper of the day and the
only Viper to crack the 11's was Gary Lashinsky's Venom 600 11.437
@ 124.53. John Lingenfelter's awesome ZR1's managed 10.997
and a trap speed of just over 134 mph.
