I have decided to sell off most of my collection,
not because I am in need of funds but simply to allow
me to concentrate on one specific target: Citizen, Seiko and Orient stylish
watches (no divers or military
items) from the1960's and 1970's, with a preference for hand-wound items.
"Why not put them on eBay or on one of the
watch-specific forums?", I hear you say.
Well, the answer is because on eBay there is a fee charged for listing and then
for a sale. Those fees have to be
taken into account when determining a fair price.
On watch-specific forums I would be reaching just those who are dedicated watch
collectors.
Below are sample photos of each item, with a
description and price. Further detailed information will be
provided upon request. Please note that prices are in Australian dollars
and are negotiable.
All prices include packaging and postage costs for Australia only.
International shipping would be at cost, that cost dependant upon destination.

CITIZEN
America's Cup
6840-G81233, 1992.
This rare watch, marketed
for the 1992 challenge, has been a favourite of a previous owner living a useful
life, perhaps
seeing many wrist-hours on the water whilst being used to time starting
countdowns. Or maybe it simply adorned the wrist
of an office-worker on a daily basis for many years. Who knows?
It comes without its original
stainless steel bracelet but is fitted with a rubber strap that was designed for
the yacht-racer in mind.
There is no other accompanying paraphernalia - no box, no documentation. Just
the watch.
It works beautifully,
keeping accurate time. The only function that I cannot activate is the alarm.
Other than that, it works as
intended and is an excellent example of a well-loved watch, now more than 16
years old.
A pdf file of the user's manual is also included.
PRICE: AUS$305.00

Eco-Drive
This Citizen Eco-drive is in excellent condition.
I bought it in February of this year and have worn it infrequently and then only
to the office.
I would rate it at 95%.
39mm across the case, not including crown.
This watch keeps time so accurately that, in the past 6 month's I think I've
adjusted it once.
It's second-hand also hits the markers spot-on.
Complete with tubular case, owner's booklets, spare links and external Citizen
box.
PRICE: AUS$130.00
