The majority of design solutions implemented in this project were extremely successful, while a few required further resolutions including:
® the application of Easiwall in a load bearing capacity was an innovative and important lesson for future designs.
® the impact of increased natural lighting prior to the installation of blinds and shades caused temporary inconvenience to staff due to glare on computer terminals. In the short term, this was solved by placing paper over the windows, however blinds and shades are currently being installed and will eliminate this issue.
® for aesthetic reasons the original design included a piece of P50 profile around the windows rather than using architraves. As much as the builders tried to create an airtight seal, some air leakage has been experienced during high winds. This problem has been easily overcome by applying clear silicon around the profile.
