About Tooneybank

We bought our first sheltie, Anmoray Black Cape, in 1966 and campaigned her to within 12 pts of her title, mated to Aus Ch Rodaniegh Francehill Typhoo[impUK] she produced our first home bred champion, Ch Tooneybank Turua, [Dundee], being the first of 19 home bred champions and five other champions. Living in the suburbs of Canberra we (my husband David & I) are restricted in the number of dogs we can keep so we have to put a lot of thought into selecting breeding stock. Dundee produced six champions, the best known being Ch Tooneybank Te Ra, [Jarko] a mahogany sable dog, a winner of many best in groups, classes in groups and show back in the days when the working dog group was hotly contested for by GSDs, bearded collies, OESes and several top corgis.

Even though David is no longer able to take an active part in the showing he helps me by dog sitting on show week ends.
